Chapter on the Virtue of Mosques and Prayer Within Them, and the Virtue of Congregational Prayer and Its Rulings

Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ali ibn Hadid from Jamil from Zurarah who said: I asked one of the two Imams عليه السلام, peace be upon them, about a man who led people in prayer for two rak‘ahs, then informed them that he was not in a state of wudu. Imam عليه السلام said: “The people should complete their prayer, for the imam (of prayer) bears no responsibility.”
