Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Al-Hasan ibn Ali, from Ja’far ibn Muhammad, from Abdillah ibn Maymun al-Qaddah, from Imam Ja’far عليه السلام, from his father عليه السلام, from his forefathers, peace be upon them, who said:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, so He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم led the people in two rak‘ahs, and He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم prolonged (the prayer) until some of the people behind him lost consciousness, due to the length of the standing.”
