Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 5
Al-Husayn ibn Saeed from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Abu Ayyub Ibrahim ibn Uthman from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I asked Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام about the eclipse prayer before the sun sets, and we fear missing the obligatory prayer. So Imam عليه السلام said: “Cut it off, perform the obligatory prayer, and then return to your eclipse prayer.”
