Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 5
From him, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Khalid al-Barqi, from Abu al-Bakhtari, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “Indeed, Imam Ali عليه السلام, peace be upon him, prayed during the solar eclipse; two rak‘ahs with four prostrations and four bowings. He عليه السلام stood and recited, then bowed, then raised his head and recited again, then bowed, then stood and supplicated (like in his first rak‘ah), then prostrated twice. Then He عليه السلام stood and did the same as he did in the first rak‘ah in his recitation, standing, bowing, and prostration all of it equally.”
