Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ibn Mahbub from al-Hasan ibn Salih who said:
I heard Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, say: “Whoever performs ablution and perfects the ablution, and then prays two rak‘ahs, completing their bowing and prostration, then sits and praises Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic, and sends blessings upon the Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, and then asks Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic, for his need; Then indeed he has sought goodness in its proper place. And whoever seeks goodness in its proper place will not be disappointed.”
