Chapter on What Is Lawful for Banu Hashim and Unlawful from Zakat
سَعْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ اَلْحَسَنِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَلْحَمِيدِ عَنِ اَلْفَضْلِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ زَيْدٍ اَلشَّحَّامِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُهُ عَنِ اَلصَّدَقَةِ اَلَّتِي حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ» هِيَ اَلزَّكَاةُ اَلْمَفْرُوضَةُ وَ لَمْ تُحَرَّمْ عَلَيْنَا صَدَقَةُ بَعْضِنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ«.
Sa’ad ibn Abdullah, from Musa ibn al-Hasan, from Muhammad ibn Abd al-Hamid, from al-Fadl ibn Salih, from Abu Usamah Zayd al-Shahham, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I (narrator) asked Imam عليه السلام about ‘the charity which was forbidden for them (Banu Hashim).’ Imam عليه السلام said: “It is the obligatory zakat, and the charity of some of us (Banu Hashim) to others among us (Banu Hashim) has not been forbidden for us.”
