And from him, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ismail ibn Marrar, from Yunus, from Samaah, from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I (narrator) said to Imam عليه السلام: “A man leaves for his family maintenance of three thousand dirhams, maintenance for years; ‘Is Zakat upon it?’” Imam عليه السلام said: “If he is present, then Zakat is upon it, and if he is absent, then there is nothing in it.”
