Chapter on Additions Regarding Zakat

And from him, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hisham ibn Salim, from Zurarah, from Salim ibn Abi Hafsah, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam عليه السلام said: "Indeed Allah سبحانه وتعالى, Exalted is He سبحانه وتعالى, says: 'There is nothing except that I have entrusted to someone other than Me سبحانه وتعالى the one who receives it, except charity, for I take it with My سبحانه وتعالى hand, taking it directly, so much so that a man gives in charity a date or half a date, and I raise it as a man raises his foal and his young camel (fasil). Then he meets Me سبحانه وتعالى on the Day of Resurrection while it is like Mount Uhud, and greater than Uhud.'"
