Chapter on Zakat of the Wealth of Children and the Insane

And from him, from Ahmad ibn al-Hasan, from his father, from Ahmad ibn Umar ibn Abi Shubah, from his father, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: Imam عليه السلام was asked about ‘the wealth of the orphan.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “There is no zakat upon it unless it is traded with.”
