Chapter on Ruling of the Traveller and the Sick Person Regarding Fasting

As for what Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Isa narrated from Abdullah ibn Abi Khalaf, from Yahya ibn Hashim, from Abu Harun al-Abdi, from Abu Saeed al-Khudri: (Abu Saeed al-Khudri) said: “When the Prophet صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, Allah’s سبحانه وتعالى blessings be upon him and his family, travelled one farsakh, He صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم would shorten the prayer.”
