Chapter on Ruling of Treatment for the Fasting Person, Kohl, Cupping, the Tooth-Stick (Siwak), Entering the Bathhouse, and Other than That
Ali ibn al-Hasan, from Harun ibn Muslim, from Masadah ibn Sadaqah, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, from his father عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam عليه السلام said: “Whoever vomits deliberately while he is fasting has broken his fast, and he must repeat it. Then if Allah سبحانه وتعالى wills, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will punish him, and if Allah سبحانه وتعالى wills, Allah سبحانه وتعالى will forgive him.” And Imam عليه السلام said: “Whoever vomits while he is fasting must make it up.”
