Muhammad ibn Yaqub, from a number of our companions, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Fadl al-Nawfali, from al-Hasan ibn Rashid, who said: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, when he fasted, would perfume himself with fragrance. And Imam عليه السلام would say: “Fragrance is the gift of the fasting person.”
