Chapter on Ruling of the Forgetful One and the Mistaken One Regarding Fasting
Al-Husayn ibn Said, from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl, from Abu al-Sabbah al-Kinani, who said:
I (narrator) asked Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, about ‘a man who fasted, then thought that the sun had set while there was cloud in the sky, so he broke his fast. Then the cloud cleared, and behold, the sun had not set.’ Imam عليه السلام said: “His fast has been completed, and he does not make it up.”
