About the Occultation
Al-Imāma wa’l-Tabṣira min al-Ḥayra|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 10
سعد بن عبداللّه وعبداللّه بن جعفر الحميري جميعاً، عن ابراهيم ابن هاشم، عن محمد بن خالد، عن محمد بن سنان، عن المفضّل بن عمر، قال: سمعت الصادق جعفر بن محمد عليهما السلام يقول: من مات منتظراً لهذا الأمر كان كمن كان مع القائم في فسطاطه، لا، بل كان كالضارب بين يدي رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وآله بالسيف.
Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh and ʿAbd Allāh b. Jaʿfar al-Ḥimyarī together, from Ibrāhīm b. Hāshim, from Muḥammad b. Khālid, from Muḥammad b. Sinān, from al-Mufaḍḍal b. ʿUmar, who narrated: “I heard al-Ṣādiq, Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad عليهما السلام saying: “Whoever dies waiting for this Matter (to come about) is like he who is with the Qāʾim in his marquee. No, rather, he is like the one who strikes (the enemy) with the sword in front of the Apostle of Allāh صلى الله عليه وعلى آله.”
