The Signs of the Mahdī’s Reappearance

Saʿd b. ʿAbd Allāh, from Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn b. Abī’l-Khaṭṭāb, from Jaʿfar b. Bashīr from Hishām b. Sālim, from Zurāra, from Abī ʿAbd Allāh عليه السلام, who said: “The caller will issue a call with the Qāʾim’s عليه السلام name.” I (Zurāra) said: “Will it be specific or general?,” to which he replied: “General. Every people (will hear it) in their own language.” I followed up: “Who would oppose the Qāʾim عليه السلام after his name has been called out?” He said: “Iblīs will not leave them be until he calls out at the end of the night and causes people to doubt.”
