Muhammad bin Al-Hasan said: “This narration poses no doubt, as the question was specifically about the spit of someone who drank wine, and He عليه السلام said there is no harm in it. Spit itself is not impure; rather, the impurity lies in the wine.” The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, said: "The same ruling applies to fuqqa' (a type of fermented drink)."
