Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Explanation of the Fifty-One Rak‘ahs; The Order, Recitation, Tasbih in Bowing and Prostration, Qunut, and What is Obligatory and Recommended Therein

This report does not state whether he recited them in one rak‘ah or in two. According to our view, it is not permissible to recite these two Surahs (‘al- Duha’ and ‘al-Sharh’) except in a single rak‘ah. And since it is not permissible to separate them, we interpret the narration to mean that He عليه السلام recited them together in one rak‘ah.
