Khārijites' misinterpretation of divine verdict
Nahj al-Balāgha|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 198
١٩٨. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام) لَمَّا سَمِعَ قَوْلَ الْخَوَارِجِ ـ لَا حُكْمَ إِلَّا لِلهِ ـ : كَلِمَةُ حَقٍّ يُرَادُ بِهَا بَاطِلٌ.
198. When Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, heard the slogan of the Khārijites: There is no verdict save of Allāh, he said: This sentence is true but it is interpreted wrongly.
