Crowd dynamics in assembly and dispersal
Nahj al-Balāgha|Volume 1|Book 3|Chapter 199
١٩٩. وَقَالَ (عليه السلام) فِي صِفَةِ الْغَوْغَاءِ هُمُ الَّذِينَ إِذَا اجْتَمَعُوا غَلَبُوا، وَإِذَا تَفَرَّقُوا لَمْ يُعْرَفُوا.
199. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said about the crowd of people: These are the people who, when they assemble together, are overwhelming but when they disperse they cannot be recognized.
