Chapter on Touching the Deceased

Hanzalah ibn Abu 'Amir, known as "the Rahib," was martyred at the Battle of Uhud. The Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم did not command that he be washed, saying: "I saw the angels washing Hanzalah with water from the clouds, using silver vessels." Because of this, he was given the title "Ghasil al-Malaika" (The One Washed by the Angels).
