The Chapter of Condolences and Grief During Calamities, Visiting Graves, Lamentation and Mourning Gatherings
When Ja'far ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام was killed, the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم instructed Sayyida Fatimah Al-Zahra صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم to go to Asma' bint Umays and her womenfolk and to prepare food for them for three days. Thus, this practice became a sunnah (tradition).
