Prayer During Travel
Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 1|Book 1|Chapter 59
وَ سَأَلَ عَبْدُ اَلرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ اَلْحَجَّاجِ أَبَا عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ: عَنِ اَلرَّجُلِ لَهُ اَلضِّيَاعُ بَعْضُهَا قَرِيبٌ مِنْ بَعْضٍ فَيَخْرُجُ فَيَطُوفُ فِيهَا أَ يُتِمُّ أَوْ يُقَصِّرُ قَالَ «يُتِمُّ.
Abd al-Rahman bin al-Hajjaj asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام about a man who owns lands that are close to one another and he travels between them. Should he complete his prayers or shorten them? Imam عليه السلام replied: "He should complete [his prayers]."
