Man Lā Yaḥḍuruh al-Faqīh|Volume 3|Book 2|Chapter 14
It is narrated from Ali bin Yaqtin, who said: I asked Abu Al-Hasan عليه السلام about a man who rents a house or a boat from another man for a year, more, or less. Imam عليه السلام said: "The lease is binding until the agreed-upon time. As for the payment of the rent, it is up to the owner, if he wishes, he may take it, and if he wishes, he may waive it."
