Chapter on What Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty, Has Made Permissible and Prohibited in Marriage
Al-Hasan ibn Mahbub narrated from Abdullah ibn Sinan, who said: I asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about a man who commits a forbidden act with his wife's sister. Does this make his wife forbidden to him? Imam عليه السلام said: "Indeed, the forbidden does not invalidate the lawful, and the lawful rectifies the forbidden."
