Chapter on Water and Its Rules, and What is Permissible and Impermissible for Purification
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, narrated to me from Abu al-Qasim Ja'far ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Ya'qub, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Mughira, from Sa'id al-A‘raj, who said:
I asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about (using) the leftover water (su’r) of a Jew or a Christian. Imam عليه السلام said: "No."
