Chapter on Water and Its Rules, and What is Permissible and Impermissible for Purification
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, narrated to me from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Muhammad ibn al-Hasan, from al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan ibn Aban, from al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Hammad, from Mu'awiyah ibn Ammar, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said:
Imam عليه السلام said: regarding the cat, “It is one of the members of the household, and its leftover water (su’r) can be used for Wudu' (ablution)."
