Chapter on Guiding the Dying, Positioning Them at Death, Procedures for Their Final Moments, Washing Them, and Placing Them in Shrouds

Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Muhammad bin Khalid, from someone who narrated it, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام: Imam عليه السلام said: “If a man is found killed, and a complete limb of his body is found, then a funeral prayer is performed for that limb, and it is buried. However, if no complete limb is found, no prayer is performed, and it is buried.”
