Chapter on Menstruation, Istihada (abnormal bleeding), and Nifas (postpartum bleeding)

Ali ibn Al-Hasan ibn Faddal narrated from Ali ibn Asbat, from Al-Alaa ibn Razin, from Muhammad ibn Muslim, from one of the Imams عليه السلام, who said: I asked Imam عليه السلام: “A woman sees purity (from menstruation) at the time of Dhuhr but becomes occupied with her affairs until the time of ‘Asr enters - what should she do?” Imam عليه السلام replied: "She should perform the ‘Asr prayer alone. However, if she neglected it, then she must make up two prayers (Dhuhr and ‘Asr)."
