Chapter on Etiquettes of Causes Requiring Purification

Muhammad bin Ali bin Mahbub narrated from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from Musa bin Al-Qasim, from Ali bin Ja‘far, from his brother Imam Musa bin Ja‘far عليه السلام, who said: (Narrator said) "I asked Imam عليه السلام about a man who, during his prayer, remembered that he had not cleansed himself (istinja) after relieving himself. Imam عليه السلام said: 'He should break off the prayer, cleanse himself (istinja) after relieving himself, and repeat the prayer. However, if he remembers after completing the prayer, it suffices for him, and he does not need to repeat the prayer.'"
