The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, informed me, saying: Ahmad ibn Muhammad reported to me, from his father, from Saʿd ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from al-Abbas, from Muhammad ibn Abi ʿUmayr, from Hammad ibn ʿUthman, from Abu Abdullah عليه السلام, who said:
Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no harm in wiping the feet either forward or backward."
