Chapter on the Description of Ablution (Wudu)

فَأَمَّا مَا رَوَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ اَلْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ حَرِيزٍ: فِي اَلْوَضُوءِ يَجِفُّ قَالَ قُلْتُ فَإِنْ جَفَّ اَلْأَوَّلُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَغْسِلَ اَلَّذِي يَلِيهِ قَالَ« جَفَّ أَوْ لَمْ يَجِفَّ اِغْسِلْ مَا بَقِيَ» قُلْتُ وَ كَذَلِكَ غُسْلُ اَلْجَنَابَةِ قَالَ« هُوَ بِتِلْكَ اَلْمَنْزِلَةِ وَ اِبْدَأْ بِالرَّأْسِ ثُمَّ أَفِضْ عَلَى سَائِرِ جَسَدِكَ» قُلْتُ وَ إِنْ كَانَ بَعْضَ يَوْمٍ قَالَ« نَعَمْ».
As for the report narrated by Muhammad ibn Ahmad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Mughirah, from Hariz:
Regarding Wuduʾ, he (Hariz) asked: "If the earlier part of my Wuduʾ dries before I wash the next part, what should I do?" Imam عليه السلام replied: "Whether it dries or not, wash what remains." I asked: "Does the same apply to Ghusl for Janabah?" Imam عليه السلام said: "It is the same. Start with the head and then pour water over the rest of your body." I asked: "Even if it has been some time during the day?" Imam عليه السلام said: "Yes."
