Chapter on the Description of Ablution (Wudu)

مَا أَخْبَرَنِي بِهِ اَلشَّيْخُ أَيَّدَهُ اَللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْ أَبِي اَلْقَاسِمِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنِ اَلْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ مَعْرُوفٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مَهْزِيَارَ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ عَنْ أَحَدِهِمَا عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ: فِي اَلرَّجُلِ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَ عَلَيْهِ اَلْعِمَامَةُ قَالَ« يَرْفَعُ اَلْعِمَامَةَ بِقَدْرِ مَا يُدْخِلُ إِصْبَعَهُ فَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى مُقَدَّمِ رَأْسِهِ».
The Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, informed me from Abu al-Qasim Jaʿfar ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Saʿd ibn Abdullah, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ʿIsa, from al-Abbas ibn Maʿruf, from Ali ibn Mahziyar, from Hammad ibn ʿIsa, from some of his companions:
It is narrated from one of the two Imams عليه السلام, regarding a man performing Wuduʾ while wearing a turban: "He should lift the turban just enough to insert his finger and wipe the front part of his head."
