Chapter on Rules of Janabah and Methods of Purification

Narrated by the Shaykh (Al-Mufid), may Allah سبحانه وتعالى support him, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan ibn Aban, from al-Husayn ibn Sa'id, from Uthman, from Ibn Muskan, from Sulayman ibn Khalid, who said: I asked Abu Abdullah عليه السلام about a man who becomes junub, performs ghusl before urinating, and something comes out of him afterward. Imam عليه السلام said: "He must repeat the ghusl." I asked: "What about a woman if something comes out of her after the ghusl?" Imam عليه السلام said: "She does not need to repeat the ghusl." I asked: "What is the difference between them?" Imam عليه السلام said: "What comes out of the woman is from the man's fluid."
