Muhammad bin Ya‘qub, from Muhammad bin Yahya, from Ahmad bin Muhammad, from al-Husayn bin Sa‘id, from Fadalah bin Ayyub, from Aban, from Abd al-Rahman bin Sayabah and Abu al-‘Abbas: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: "If you do not know whether you have prayed three rak‘ahs or four, and your inclination falls upon three, then build upon three. And if your inclination falls upon four, then give the taslim and depart. But if your doubt is balanced (with no inclination toward either), then depart and pray two rak‘ahs while sitting."
