Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That
Ali ibn Yaqtin asked Abu Al-Hasan al-Awwal عليه السلام (the First), peace be upon him, about a man who prostrates on a covering (mishh) or a carpet (bisat). Imam عليه السلام said: “There is no harm in it if it is in a situation of taqiyyah (precautionary dissimulation), and there is no harm in prostrating on clothes in a situation of taqiyyah.”
