Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That
Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub, from Muhammad ibn Ahmad, from al-‘Amraki, from Ali ibn Ja‘far, from his brother (Imam) Musa ibn Ja‘far, peace be upon them both, who said:
I asked Him عليه السلام about a man who prayed while his private part was exposed, and he did not know about it. Does he have to repeat the prayer, or what is his situation? Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no repetition upon him, and his prayer is complete."
