Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That

And from him, from Ali ibn Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abi Umayr, from Hammad, from al-Halabi, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I asked Him عليه السلام about prayer in sheep enclosures. Imam عليه السلام said: "Pray in them. But do not pray in camel enclosures unless you fear for the loss of your belongings, then sweep it and sprinkle it with water, and pray." And I asked him about prayer on the side of the road. He said: "There is no problem with praying on the edges between the main pathways. But as for on the main roads themselves, do not pray on them."
