Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That

And from him, from Muhammad ibn Yahya, from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl, who said: (Imam عليه السلام) Al-Ridha عليه السلام said: "Every pathway that is walked upon or passed through, whether it has a main road (jadah) or not, it is not appropriate to pray in it." I asked: "Then where should I pray?" Imam عليه السلام said: "To the right or to the left (off the path)."
