Chapter on What is Permissible to Pray in, from Clothing and Place, and What is Not Permissible to Pray in, from That
Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id, from Hammad ibn ‘Isa, from Shu‘ayb ibn Ya‘qub, from Abu Basir, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I asked Him عليه السلام about prayer on salty barren land (al-sabkha), why is it disliked? Imam عليه السلام said: "Because the forehead does not rest evenly." So I said: "And if there is flat ground within it?" Imam عليه السلام said: "Then there is no problem."
