Al-Husayn ibn Muhammad narrated from Abdullah ibn Amir from Ali ibn Mahziyar from Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id from Hammad ibn Isa from Yazid ibn Dumrah Al-Laythi from Muhammad ibn Muslim who said:
I asked Abu Ja'far, peace be upon him, about a man who is preoccupied at the time of the meridian, may he perform the (supererogatory prayers) early in the day? Imam عليه السلام said: "Yes, if he knows that he will be preoccupied, then he may perform them all at the beginning of the day."
