Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 2|Book 1|Chapter 13
From him, from ‘Ubays from Hammad from Muhammad ibn Hakim, who said:
I heard the Righteous Servant (Abd al Salih عليه السلام), peace be upon him, saying: "Indeed, the beginning of the time for Dhuhr is when the sun passes its zenith, and the end of its time is one height (qamah) from the zenith. The beginning of the time for ‘Asr is at one height, and the end of its time is two heights." I asked: "Is it the same in winter and summer?" Imam عليه السلام said: "Yes."
