Sa'd narrated from Muhammad ibn Al-Husayn from Safwan ibn Yahya from Ya'qub ibn Shu'ayb from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said:
I asked Him عليه السلام about a man who sleeps through the morning prayer until the sun rises, should he pray as soon as he wakes up or wait until the sun has risen fully? Imam عليه السلام said: "He should pray as soon as he wakes up." I asked: “Should he perform the Witr prayer or the two rak'ahs (of Nafila)?” Imam عليه السلام said: "No, rather he should begin with the obligatory prayer."
