Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended
From him, from Al-Qasim ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn Abi Hamzah, from Abu Basir who said:
He said: "When something from the four obligatory prostrations (al-‘Aza’im) is recited and you hear it, then prostrate, even if you are without ablution, even if you are in a state of major ritual impurity (junub), and even if it is a woman who is not praying. As for the rest of the Qur'an, you have a choice: if you wish, you may prostrate, and if you wish, you may not prostrate."
