اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ اَلْفَضْلِ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ وَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ فَقَرَأَ بِفَاتِحَةِ اَلْكِتَابِ وَ آخِرِ سُورَةِ اَلْمَائِدَةِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ اِلْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا فَقَالَ «أَمَا إِنِّي إِنَّمَا أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُعَلِّمَكُمْ»
Al-Husayn ibn Sa'id from Muhammad ibn Abi Umayr from Aban ibn Uthman from Isma'il ibn Al-Fadl:
Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, and Abu Ja’far عليه السلام, peace be upon him, prayed with us, and they عليه السلام recited the ‘Opening of the Book’ (Surah Al-Fatiha) and the end of Surah Al-Ma'idah. When they finished and gave the salam, they turned to us and said: "Indeed, I only intended to teach you."
