Chapter on the Manner of Prayer, Its Description and What is Obligatory and Recommended

From him, from Al-Barqi, from Sa'd ibn Sa'd Al-Ash'ari, from Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ridha عليه السلام, peace be upon him, who said: I asked Him عليه السلام about a man who recited Al-Hamd and half of a Surah in one rak'ah, would it suffice in the second rak'ah not to recite Al-Hamd and only recite what remains of the Surah? Imam عليه السلام said: "He should recite Al-Hamd, then recite what remains of the Surah."
