Abu Ali Al-Ash‘ari, from Muhammad ibn Abd Al-Jabbar, from Safwan, from Ibn Muskan, from Muhammad ibn Marwan: Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him, said: “The Messenger of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, may Allah سبحانه وتعالى bless him and his family, said: ‘Indeed, Jibra’il, peace be upon him, came to Me صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and said: ‘We, the company of angels, do not enter a house in which there is a dog (ritually impure, najis al-ʿayn), or a statue with a body (image-making of animate beings), or a vessel in which there is urination (filth left exposed).’"
