اَلْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ مُسْكَانَ عَنْ لَيْثٍ اَلْمُرَادِيِّ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلْوَسَائِدُ تَكُونُ فِي اَلْبَيْتِ فِيهَا اَلتَّمَاثِيلُ عَنْ يَمِينٍ أَوْ شِمَالٍ فَقَالَ« لاَ بَأْسَ مَا لَمْ تَكُنْ تُجَاهَ اَلْقِبْلَةِ فَإِنْ كَانَ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ مِمَّا يَلِي اَلْقِبْلَةَ فَغَطِّهِ وَ صَلِّ فَإِذَا كَانَتْ مَعَكَ دَرَاهِمُ سُودٌ فِيهَا تَمَاثِيلُ فَلاَ تَجْعَلْهَا مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْكَ وَ اِجْعَلْهَا مِنْ خَلْفِكَ»
Al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id, from Muhammad ibn Sinan, from Abdullah ibn Muskan, from Layth al-Muradi, said:
I said to Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him: “The cushions that are in the house which have figures on them, whether on the right or the left” So Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no problem as long as they are not facing the Qiblah. But if any of them is in front of you, in the direction of the Qiblah, then cover it and pray. And if you have with you black coins that have figures on them, then do not place them in front of you; rather, place them behind you."
