Chapter on What is Permissible and Impermissible to Pray in - of Clothing and Place

Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Muhammad ibn Ziyad, from Al-Rayyan ibn Al-Salt, said: I asked Abu Al-Hasan Al-Ridha, peace be upon him, about wearing furs of samur (sable), sinjab (squirrel), ‘hawasil’ (small animals with gathered pelts), and what resembles them, and about belts, cloaks (al-kaymukht), clothing padded with silk, and footwear made from various types of leather. Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no problem with all of this, except for (what is made from) foxes (al-tha’alib)."
