Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from Ali ibn Al-Hakam, from Aban ibn ‘Uthman, from Zurarah, from Abu Ja‘far, peace be upon him, said: I asked Imam عليه السلام about the ‘shadhakunah’ (a type of felt or coarse cloth) upon which there is janabah (major ritual impurity) on it, is it permissible to pray on it in the litter (mahmil) (a type of carriage or travel seat)? Imam عليه السلام said: "There is no problem."
