Chapter on Obligation of Prayer During Travel
Tahdhīb al-Aḥkām|Volume 2|Book 1|Chapter 2
And he also narrated from Safwan ibn Yahya from al-’Alaʾ from Muhammad ibn Muslim from one of the two Imams, peace be upon them. He said:
I asked Him عليه السلام about supererogatory prayer during travel. Imam عليه السلام said: “Do not pray anything before the two rak’ahs (of an obligatory prayer), nor after them, during the day.”
